Terms & Conditions

By booking a consultation, course, or other service offered by Holistic Pet Services (HPS) you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined below.

Bookings and Payment

​

1- Payment must be sent at least 3 working days prior to the appointment. Failure to do so will result in that appointment being forfeited. 

​

2- To ensure you gain the most from the consultation, all family members or friends who come into regular contact with the pet(s) are encouraged to be present.  A behavioural consultation can, however, last up to 3 hours and so it is advised that children under the age of 5 have an adult who is able to supervise and if necessary, take them into a different room during the consultation.

​

3- Consultations are held remotely, via video call. You are strongly encouraged to submit videos of your training sessions between consultations in order to maximise the relevance of any advice given. 

​

4- In the case of behavioural issues you agree to give consent to work with us and are happy for us to contact your vet on your behalf. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Obtaining your pet's full medical history

  • Sharing a summary of your report with your vets

  • Discussing any findings with your vets that relate to the treatment of your pet

​

5- By submitting your personal information, including name and contact details, you are agreeing to our Privacy Policy. This includes saving your information on a password protected computer, stored in a locked premises, for the duration of your pet's treatments and up to 7 years thereafter. This is compliant with GDPR legislation in the UK.

Cancellations and Missed Appointments

6- If you can no longer attend an appointment, please advise your consultant as soon as possible. Cancellations made more than 48hrs ahead of the appointment are entitled to a full refund. Cancellations made between 24hrs and 48hrs ahead of the appointment are entitled to a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 24hrs of the appointment will be non-refundable.

7- Missed appointments will be charged at the full price. Refunds will not be issued if you fail to attend at the agreed time.

8- If you cannot attend an appointment and would like to reschedule, you are permitted to do so as long as you can provide at least 48hrs notice ahead of the original appointment time. You may only reschedule any appointment a maximum of one time, otherwise you forfeit the appointment and are not entitled to a refund.

Refunds

​

9- All of our courses are entitled to a 30 Day Guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the content of the course, you are able to contact us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. 

​

10- Consultations are not eligible for a refund after they have taken place. 

​

Success

​

11- Behaviour modification requires time and consistency. For this reason, we cannot guarantee you success, as your success will depend on you putting in the work. We do, however, have a very high success rate with previous clients who have followed and practised our methods in the long term. 

​

12- Our methods are backed by science, kind, ethical, and effective. We will never advise you to intimidate, scare, or harm your dog, physically or mentally, in any way. 

​

13- HPS are not qualified to provide veterinary or legal advice, and none of our advice is intended in this way. Before making changes to your pet's lifestyle, it is always wise to discuss the changes with your vet.

14- You agree that HPS may use your comments and superficial information regarding your case in testimonials and other marketing materials.

Insurance

​

15- Holistic Pet Services are insured with Hiscox Insurance. 

​

16- HPS will not be held liable for any accident or injury that may occur during your pet's training. It is expected that you will apply common sense and do everything within your power to safeguard yours and your pet's well-being. You are accepting that participating in the training and modification of your pet’s behaviour may pose a risk of injury to yourself and your pet, for which you are responsible.

17- The construction, interpretation, and application of these terms are governed by the laws of England, UK.
